A New Quilt For a Cute Baby!

My good friend Dolly just finished this quilt for her little nephew "Elliott". She got some of the fabrics here and some of them were just collected from various quilting shops. I think it is just great and wanted to share it.

Business For Sale!

Yes, it's true, we've put the shop up for sale! Our first 2 years of success are nearly complete, and that was my goal, two years owning and then putting it up for sale. My husband and I will begin our plans to eventually move to Northern New Mexico, and I have so many projects going, I'll finally have time to work on them. I'm also a massage therapist, and I look forward to doing that more. I will certainly miss all my wonderful customers, but hopefully I'll still work part time for a while, just to keep in contact with everyone.

A Free EASY Baby Blanket Pattern

Need to make a baby shower gift and QUICK!? Come in and see our sample machine washable blanket made out of Plush and 220 Superwash! It's knit on the diagonal and looks great if you want to make it striped. It has a nice eyelet edge on it, too. The rest is garter stitch, so it's really very easy.

Cast on 5 stitches.
Knit 1 row.
Next row Knit 3, yo, k 2.
Next row Knit 3, yo, k 3.
Next row Knit 3, yo, knit to end.Repeat last row until there are 126 stitches on needle.
Next Decrease Row Knit 2, k2tog, yo, k2tog, k to end.
Repeat last row until there are 7 stitches on needle.
Next Decrease Row Knit 2, k2tog, k2tog, k to end.
Bind off remaining 5 stitches.

Last weekend was the annual quilt show at the Watsonville Fairgrounds. Everyone had a great time and there were so many beautiful, inpiring quilts. If you didn't get a chance to attend this year, try to go next year. It's such a wonderful event.
